Cross Country

Congratulations to the boys and girls Cross Country teams for their 4th and 5th place finishes at the Prospect Invitational on Tuesday. The girls were 5th, boys 4th. Robert Meyer took the individual boys varsity championship running 15:51 for the 3 mile course. The teams run at the U HIgh Regional Championship on Saturday morning at 10 am in Washington Park.

ISL CONFERENCE MEET

Congratulations to the cross-country teams on fine performances yesterday in Washington Park at the ISL Cross-Country Championships.

The girls won the championship by one point over Latin, sophomore Sara Curci ( 18:30) was overall champion. Joining her on the all-conference team ( top 10 finishers) were Katelyn Suchtya , Alex Chang and Hannah Tomia. The girls team was also awarded the top sportsmanship award by the coaches.

The boys team finished in second place one point behind Latin. Senior Robert Meyer ( 15:57.58) finished in second place .45 seconds off the winner. Also earning all-conference honors ( top 10 finishers) were Thomas Aquino and Ben Buchheim-Jurisson.
The teams travel to Prospect on Tuesday for the Prospect Invitational. The team will be excused after 7th period. UHigh will host the IHSA Regional at Washington Park next Saturday Oct. 23rd at10am.
